PORT ORCHARD
Chang Will Bring Positive Change

We have lived in Port Orchard four years. Fred Chang has been a valued neighbor, unceasing in his involvement in our city government, and, we (as commuters) have been well-represented by him in his capacity on the Washington State Ferries Advisory Board. He has a positive attitude and a willingness to listen to all points of view. He has been fiercely loyal to Port Orchard and its inherent qualities: an underlying charm, a friendly, small-town feel and extraordinary potential.

But potential does not evolve to growth, development and realization without action. Current (and past) leaders have perpetuated a state of inertia, pursuing small issues ad nauseam and postponing the tougher decisions.

The need for outside forces to affect a positive change is apparent. Outside forces like Fred Chang, with a new attitude, new energy and openness, facilitating change. We’ll see our community grow and prosper. Business will come, as will young families — attracted by a way of life and a good school system — who want to stay here to raise their children. If we play it right, those same children will look at Port Orchard with pride, choosing to raise their own families here.

PORT ORCHARD
Chang Would Bring Energy to Council

I am endorsing Fred Chang for Port Orchard City Council Position 6.

I have worked with Fred this past year on a volunteer project creating a Web site providing easy access to information. Fred and I worked together to plan, design, and implement the project. Fred was instrumental in getting the project completed on time due to his dedication and commitment. I also found Fred was a good communicator.

Fred Chang would bring this same dedication and efficiency to his work on our city council. Fred has visited with over 1,400 households during the past few months and he would bring this perspective and energy to his work on the city council.

Fred Chang is the correct choice for Port Orchard City Council.
